BILLINGS, Mont. – The Pop Stop has quickly become a popular destination for local high school students in Billings during their lunch breaks. Located directly across from Billings Senior High, the shop has been open for about three weeks and is already drawing a crowd with its welcoming atmosphere and affordable menu.
This kiosk presents a diverse selection of items, from sodas and soups to sandwiches and boba. Susan Garcia, the general manager, revealed the inspiration behind the shop's name: "We named it The Pop Stop because my son used to call his dad Pops, and he passed away from cancer a couple of years ago. This place is special to us; it's locally rooted, and we aspire to be a part of the community. We are truly excited to have received such a warm welcome."
The shop has seen a surge in customers, many of whom are making daily visits. One satisfied patron, Jenna Shelton, shared her excitement, stating, "The food is fantastic, and the sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I adore the variety of soda flavors available; there are so many options that I often find myself taking a while to decide. Plus, the prices are really reasonable, which is great for me since I’m on a tight budget. It’s just convenient to grab lunch here."
The store is working towards increased accessibility by offering customers the option to use DoorDash or to place online orders for pickup. The Pop Shop is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Customers are particularly delighted by the creative soda names like "It's Not You It's Me" and "Second Wife," with each beverage featuring a classic dad joke on its cup sticker.
The Pop Stop is rapidly establishing itself as a beloved fixture in the Billings community, providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for both students and residents.
