Sainsbury's customers are excited to uncover the secrets behind a new selection of "mystery" flavored Pringles.

The cherished stackable treat remains a top choice, with its classic ready salted, sour cream and onion, and salt and vinegar varieties frequently spotted at movie theaters, party spreads, cozy evenings at home, and beyond.

The American brand, which was introduced in 1968, is known for its strong flavours and distinctive saddle shape, with new editions and limited flavour releases always going down well among Pringles devotees and casual shoppers alike.

Dedicated snack account New Foods UK caused a stir on Instagram after sharing footage of the brand’s new “mystery” flavour, which comes in a silver tube branded with the Super Mario logo and design but neglects to identify what they are supposed to taste like.

New Foods UK has cultivated a loyal fanbase on social media, boasting 369K followers on Instagram, thanks to its regular updates and reviews of all the newest sweet treats, snacks and more spotted in supermarkets and other retail stores up and down the country.

In a recent post, the food account shared a clip of the Pringles on the shelves at Sainsbury’s and then what the individual crisps look like out of the packaging, prompting many to guess what the flavours may be.

In a recent post, New Foods UK excitedly shared: “Introducing the brand new Mystery Pringles!! We think they have a flavor reminiscent of Spicy Pizza! Now at @sainsburys!”

Users eagerly expressed their opinions in the comments area. One commenter remarked, “Oh, I really hope it tastes just like spicy pizza!!!”

One person speculated, “The color seems like it’s going to be a chili cheese,” while another commented, “It makes perfect sense for it to be pizza, considering Mario is Italian and all.”

A person remarked, “They ought to have a mushroom flavor,” and this sentiment was shared by numerous others. Many fans echoed the idea, suggesting that the flavor should indeed be reminiscent of the mushrooms found in Mario video games.

In classic gameplay, consuming a red mushroom allows small Mario to transform into Super Mario. However, if he gets hit or attacked by an enemy, he will shrink back to his original size, but this won't result in his defeat.

Some users opted to tag their friends to guide them to the post, leaving remarks like “we need to try these” and similar sentiments. One individual believed they had cracked the code on identifying the flavor, proposing, “Just check the ingredients?” However, several other shoppers were quick to counter this notion. A commenter responded, “That doesn’t clarify anything; if it merely states ‘flavourings,’ you wouldn’t have any idea. It’s like a bottle of Coke, which simply lists ‘carbonated water, sugar, flavourings’ – it doesn't reveal the actual flavor.”
