Vancouver has a new food gem in Nourish Kitchen, the latest venture from local chef Cheryl Chang. Rooted in local ingredients, house-made meals, and a mission to foster connection through food, Nourish Kitchen offers meal delivery, culinary workshops, and private catering.

“I’ve primarily learned on my own and experienced burnout in professional kitchens. I ventured into baking, management positions, and even finance before discovering that my real passion lies in food,” Chang expresses in a statement. “Nourish Kitchen is my initiative to inspire people to cook, share meals, and enjoy flavors together.”

Chang, a self-taught talent with roots in Taiwan, the Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver, has been building her brand for five years, drawing inspiration from her diverse background and love for bringing people together over food. Nourish Kitchen celebrates the communal benefits of eating through prepared weekly meals that can meet a variety of dietary needs, hands-on workshops that teach home cooks how to elevate their kitchen game, and private catering services featuring customizable menus that highlight seasonal flavours and local producers. While meal kits and workshops are at the heart of the brand, the concept’s ethos also shines through in its collaborations with local makers, such as MAMA in the Kitchen and Dicky’s Dumps.

For those eager to check out what Nourish Kitchen offers, Chang is currently taking orders for a Lunar New Year Feast Kit with classic Asian options such as soy-glazed chicken, bao buns, and spring rolls.
